A Southern California native born in 1945, in 1967 Don Ed Hardy completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute. In 2000, SFAI awarded Hardy an honorary doctorate degree. Hardy is represented in the collections of The Honolulu Academy of Art, The Contemporary Museum, Honolulu, The San Francisco Fine Arts Museum Achenbach Collection, and the University of Colorado Fine Art Galleries.
